Panel - State Laws on Native Reptiles & Amphibians

This 2 hour panel discussion is to review the role and impact of State laws on native reptiles and amphibians, review issues with current or proposed laws and regulations, and work together to determine and suggest resolutions. Afterwards participants will be allowed to "break out" into smaller groups to continue the discussion informally.

  • Can we limit the commercial turtle trade without limiting access to the public?

  • How/Why is the Lacey Act used to prosecute violations of State law?
